Oct 11 (Reuters) Kenya has not recorded any new cases of Ebola after conducting 293 tests ​since a positive patient ‌died on October 5, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday. The country confirmed its first imported case of Ebola ‌on ​October 6 after a ⁠citizen who travelled from ⁠the Democratic Republic of Congo died of the virus in Kenya s capital, Nairobi. • Tests were conducted ​on 293 samples from 289 alerts and only the confirmed case ⁠was positive, the ⁠Ministry of Health said ​in a statement • In addition, 108 ​of the 122 listed contacts of ‌patient-zero are in quarantine and have not developed symptoms • The ministry said it was appealing to the ⁠public to stay calm but vigilant, and requested anyone who had concerns about possible ⁠exposure ‌or was presenting symptoms to ⁠seek medical care • Kenya ​is ‌the fourth country to ​record a ⁠case linked to the Ebola epidemic in eastern Congo, the second-largest on record with more than 8,000 cases (Reporting by Kopano Gumbi; Edit
